Cost Analyis & Compliance Supv

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Post-Award Administration and Compliance, the Coast Analysis and Compliance Supervisor gathers, maintains and analyzes financial, effort and space usage information required for the development of the Medical School's indirect cost proposals. Accumulate financial data and prepare statistical and analytical information for requests by University, federal, and state agencies. Performs a variety of complex financial, accounting, analytical and system related tasks with a focus on sponsor and university policies and regulatory compliance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administrative Costs Plan for, accumulates and prepares the indirect cost studies to calculate facilities & administrative reimbursement rates for different business segments of the Medical School Oversee the management of effort reporting certifications and space data collection and interpretation for use in the F&A proposal and other campus reporting Assist in the development and maintenance of computerized data systems to support cost analysis functions including acting as the primary liaison with Facilities Mgmt relating to space data and UITS for Effort Reporting Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to post-award grant management and compliance Recommend and assists in implementing improvements for post-award administration, policy development, and reporting Partnerships Collaborate directly with federal auditors during audit of cost proposal and A-133 auditors as issues relate to effort Collaborate with the Grant Accounting and Compliance management team to design and implement procedures and protocols for auditing and monitoring of compliance of expenditures on research studies Compliance Ensure Cost Accounting Disclosure statement is current, preparation of revisions as necessary Keep current on new and changing grant management compliance policies and regulations, including OMB Circular A-21, A-110, A-133, and NIH Grants Policy Statement Plan and oversee audit procedures and processes that will ensure compliance with federal, state and internal policies governing cost accounting and grant compliance Administration Supervise and train assigned staff Support functional supervision of staff working on and with data used to prepare F&A rate proposal and grants compliance reviews Provide assistance with special projects and other duties as assigned Data Management Prepare surveys and senior level financialreports as requested from various agencies, institutional units, and ad-hoc requests Gather analyzes and reports financial information to monitor grant compliance with Federal, State and University policy Use of business software applications, especially databases, for data gathering, verification, and analysis Recommend and assists in implementing improvements for post-award administration, policy development, and reporting. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance 5 years' of progressively responsibleexperience in cost accounting, sponsored program accounting, or related field. Extensive proven knowledge of common business software applications (spreadsheet and database) Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills needed to present or communicate effectively with all levels of management Job Number: 2018-31521

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
