District Channel Manager

ABB is seeking a District Channel Manager for its Massachusetts district. The District Channel Manager will be responsible for leading the local execution strategy for channel in the assigned territory. The role evaluates and reviews channel performance for the district. The role is responsible for executing the national channel strategy at the local district level including channelpromotions and incentive programs. The role works with the district manager to set targets by channel and manages the annual channel partner planning process. Tasks: Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: o Creates the annual district channel coverage strategy plans including TAR (Trade Area Review) process o Responsible for monthly reporting on channel activity and performance o Evaluates and reviews performance of local channel partners o Works with DSM to ensure all Tier 1 Distributor branches have account mgr. assigned to take the lead for ABB o Work with assigned account manager to develop channel partner plan based on national programs and activities o Works with account managers to define specific targets (volume, price, mix) for channel partners. o Manages the on-boarding activities for new distributors o Assesses and provides feedback to account managers on signature series program and national programs (IMARK, AD etc.) o Supports and coordinates local events involving channel partners o Manages local Distributor authorizations for EP and PG portfolio within national guidelines o Collaborate and approve channel authorizations for all ABB Divisions Requirements: Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Marketing or Business Administration or Technical Field and a minimum 8 years of experience as Area Sales Manager OR o Master's Degree in Engineering, or Marketing, or Business Administration or Technical Field and a minimum 6 years of experience as Area Sales Manager Alternatively, this position may be filled at a more senior level for the successful candidate meeting these basic qualifications: o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration or Technical Field with a minimum 12 years related experience OR o Master's Degree in Engineering, or Marketing, or Business Administration or Technical Field with a minimum 10 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: o Channel management experience o Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
